Welcome to the HUNT film series of The Experience Project. This video series will document the three Alaska hunts we completed in the fall of 2024, for caribou, moose, and mountain goat.

After killing three bulls and shuttling a lot of meat in the previous days of this hunt, the guys are tired but still have work to do. They head up the mountain on a mission to fill the final caribou tag. And they also have all 3 racks from the other bulls still up there. Can they fill the final tag? And if they do, can they pack another bull and 4 racks down the mountain in one trip?

Up the mountain…again. The miles over the past several days are really starting to accumulate.

The guys set an early camp in a location they can glass from that night, and for the next morning.

After spotting numerous Caribou bulls and starting to close the distance, they get pinned-down and have to stay patient.

Mark admires the crazy “fronts” on his bull

With the last Caribou tag filled, the guys take a quick break to enjoy the moment, soak in the sights, and have a coffee before the breakdown and pack-out begins

The packout begins with all of the meat from Mark’s bull, plus all 4 caribou racks

The lower they get on the mountain, the more the temperature and humidity rises, and the bugs begin to emerge. It was a heavy, sweaty, buggy packout at times.

With all meat and racks off of the mountain, the guys cook fresh Caribou over the fire in camp that night
