Few things can affect a backpack hunt more than water. When water is plentiful, it becomes an afterthought. But when it is hard to find good water sources, living in the backcountry requires intentionality and effort.

When backpack hunting, you need a way to find, filter, and store water as you live in the backcountry day-after-day. We have tried numerous methods of water filtration and purification methods over the years and have settled on hollow-fiber filters as our preferred solution. But it isn’t a perfect solution.

In the video (above, or on YouTube), and in the podcast below, we discuss the ways that we find, filter, and store water on multi-day backpack hunts.
